How Locums Work

The MLTP is designed to provide support to rural and remote Manitoba communities with four (4) or fewer permanent physicians to obtain locum coverage so resident physicians may take time off for vacation or CME leave with the assurance that their patients will have continued medical care.
Physician Registration

Upon creation of their online accounts, Physicians can identify availability for Locums (Locum matching system), create "Locum Alerts" that will be sent to their email and notify them of opportunities that meet their criteria, plus many other Web based features.
Requests
Once registered with the online MLTP Locum Program the RHA or Recruiter will send the "Request for Locum Services" online form via their account access to the MLTP to initiate a formal request for Locum Services.
Deadlines for locum requests will depend on availability of locum physicians.
