Job: Family physician

Job Description: 
Looking for a locum to cover for a paternity leave from around mid August until end of October/early November 2026; dates are somewhat flexible. Established general family medicine practice, primarily adult medicine but some pediatrics. Mondays and Fridays full days. I typically see the around 25-30 patients daily with appointment wait times typically around 1 to 2 weeks so you could see more if preferred. Most of my patients have been in the practice since about 2020-'22 with stable chronic conditions. Very friendly and supportive team of physicians and front desk staff.

Work Environment Details: 
Collegial atmosphere, up to 5 or 6 Physicians working per day, Family Physicians, Pediatric Specialist, Rehabilitation Physiatry. 2 room allocation for seeing patients for each doctor, integrated office space. Dedicated lunch and conference room, in house Pharmacy. Small surgery room for minor surgery. 6 Medical Office Assistants as support staff. On site Office Management. Billing to Manitoba Health is done by Physicians and support staff. Collaboration with the St. James My Health Team.
